Trend watch: Pots in bold colours

What’s ahead for garden trends? One emerging movement is for bold colours in the garden.

Darker hues including navy, green and grey have dominated our homes for a few years now and now, that cosy and inviting palette is heading into the garden.

Trendbible’s Madeleine Ritchie confirmed as much at Glee back in June, when she described the ways interior style has begun to migrate outside.

The Behaviours Agency calls the trend ‘Bolder Outdoor Spaces’ – moody tones of blue and grey heading into the garden, with smaller bursts of brighter colours for pops of dramatic contrast.

Most shoppers with a keen eye for garden trends will be starting small as they update their spaces, so for retailers pots and planters stocked in darker hues (and colourful pops) are a great entry point.

For luxurious blues in dark and mid-tones, browse the new glazed Linnea range and for greys, the Layer Egg pots. For pops of complementary colour, it must be Siren – a luxurious glazed range in a variety of sizes and hues.
